1. Who we are (data controller)
This website, DollarDive (https://dollardive.co), is operated by Digimarket Group SIA, registration no. 40203698756, Barkavas iela 16, Lubāna, Madonas nov., LV-4830, Latvia. 2. Newsletter
What we collect
When you use the “Newsletter sign up” form we store: your email address; the date and time of sign-up; the consent text you agreed to; the page you signed up from; and a one-way hashed (pseudonymised) version of your IP address, used only to prevent abuse. We do not store your raw IP address.
Purpose and legal basis
We use this data only to send you the DollarDive newsletter (new reviews, buying guides and selected offers, at most once a week) and to prove your consent. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given by ticking the consent box. Consent is voluntary; not signing up has no effect on your use of the site.
Where it is stored
Submissions are stored in our own website database on our hosting provider’s servers (Hostinger, within the EU/EEA infrastructure used for this site). We do not sell or rent your data. If we start using an email-sending service, it will act as our processor under a data-processing agreement, and we will update this policy.
How to unsubscribe
Every newsletter contains a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email info@digimarketgroup.com. When you unsubscribe, your email address is deleted from our list.
How long we keep it
We keep your newsletter data until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, and in any case delete it automatically 24 months after sign-up unless you sign up again.
3. Contact by email
If you email us, we use your message and email address to reply (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)) and keep the correspondence for up to 24 months.
4. Comments
If you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form plus your IP address and browser user-agent to help detect spam. An anonymised hash of your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service (privacy policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/). Comments and their metadata are kept so follow-up comments can be approved automatically.
5. Cookies
We aim to use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work:
- WordPress cookies — login and preference cookies for site administrators; if you comment, optional cookies remembering your name and email for one year.
- Caching/performance — our hosting cache (LiteSpeed) may set technical cookies needed to deliver pages quickly.
Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so no data is sent to Google Fonts. We currently do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this site. If we add any non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
6. Amazon Associates and affiliate links
DollarDive is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
When you click an Amazon link, you leave our site. Amazon may then place or read cookies to attribute purchases to us. We never receive your name, address or payment details from Amazon. Your activity on Amazon is governed by Amazon’s privacy notice (https://www.amazon.com/privacy). Prices and availability shown on Amazon may change at any time.
7. Embedded content
Articles may include images or embedded content from other websites (for example Unsplash images). Such content may be loaded from those providers’ servers, which then receive your IP address.
8. Who we share data with
Our hosting provider (Hostinger) as processor. We do not sell personal data and do not transfer newsletter data outside the EU/EEA.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). To exercise these rights, email info@digimarketgroup.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija, www.dvi.gov.lv) or your local supervisory authority.
10. Security
We use HTTPS, restrict database access to administrators and store IP addresses only in hashed form.
11. Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
